Jing Tianming

About the Character: Tianming is a bright and cheerful boy, at the age of 12 or 13. He is playful and mischievous though protective of his friends. He has a crush on Gao Yue (Yue-er), a girl under the care of Mohists, though he thinks that her big sister, Duanmu Rong, is a cold person who's face is 'stiff as a board'. He treats Ge Nie as his father, and aspires to become a swordsman just like him. He also has a continuous rivalry with Xiang Shaoyu, and a playful relationship with Master Ban. He has a 'passionate' love for food and immediately goes berserk if someone eats his food or destroys it. Although quite shallow in certain aspects, his loyalty, braveness and innocence stand out as some of his more positive traits. Perhaps the most driving aspect of his character, is his belief that his father will return to him one day, thus motivating him to become one of the most famous swordsmen in the world.
Xiang Shaoyu

About the Character:
Shao Yu is from the royal tribe of Chu. He is extremely proud of his tribe and will constantly praise and speak of how powerful his tribe is. He is a very friendly character and loves Tianming to call him Big Brother. He has a very cheerful and warm personality and is very knowledgable in many areas. He is usually the logical thinker, and is good at analysing situations and events. He and Tianming treat each other like rivals, but in reality it's a very friendly rivalr and are more like siblings.
Historical Figure -
Xiang Yu (232 BC – 202 BC) was a prominent military leader and political figure during the late Qin Dynasty period of Chinese history. His given name was Ji while his style name was Yu.
Xiang was a native of Xiaxiang (present-day Suqian, Jiangsu). He was granted the title of "Marquis of Lu" by King Huai II of Chu in 208 BC. The following year, Xiang led the Chu rebel forces to victory at the Battle of Julu against the Qin armies led by Zhang Han. After the fall of the Qin Dynasty, Xiang Yu proclaimed himself "Hegemon-King of Western Chu" (Chinese: pinyin: Xichu Bàwáng) and ruled a vast area of land covering parts of present-day Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangsu, with Pengcheng (present-day Xuzhou) as his capital city. He engaged Liu Bang, founder of the Han Dynasty, in a long struggle for power, known as the Chu–Han contention, that concluded with his eventual defeat and suicide at the bank of the Wu River.

About the Character: She is quite cheerful, playful and generous, as well as kind and innocent. She often getting along easy with almost everyone. She and Tianming are good friends, and she treats Duanmu Rong as her sister, often referring her as "Sister Rong". She is extremely bright and intelligent and can analyse things very accurately. She solved many mysteries in the forbidden ground when nobody else knew the answer. She seems to have powers in seeing stars and a complicated relationship with Moon Goddess.

About the Character: A very mysterious character who is quiet. She seems to have lots of scenes with Shao Yu. She is also extremely skilled in martial arts and lightness skills.
Li Ji
About the Character: Mother to Tianming and Jing Ke's wife. Little is known about this character.
Jing Ke
Voiced by: Sun Ye
About the Character: Tianming's father and a very powerful swordsman. He is very down to earth and humorous. He has exceptional speed and martial arts abilities. He fights as if he is just playing with them. He also has a big passion for wine and loves to drink and make friends that way. He will get extremely mad if anyone broke his wine jug or disturbed him while he was enjoying some wine. He is a great hero who can also be serious too. He and Prince Dan plotted to kill Ying Zheng, but failed.
Historical Figure -
Jing Ke (? - 227 BCE) was a guest residing in the estates of Dan, crown prince of Yan and renowned for his failed assassination attempt of Ying Zheng, King of Qin state, who later became China's first emperor (reign from 221 BC to 210 BC). His story is told in the chapter entitled Biographies of the Assassins in Sima Qian's Records of the Grand Historian.
Ge Nie

About the Character: An exceptional swordsman at the age of 30. He used to work for Ying Zheng (King Qin) and has killed many people with his profound 2nd rank blade of the swordplay manual, Rainbow Abyss. He found Tian Ming, an orphan street boy, a month before the series begins, and took him along. Tianming looks up to him and treats him as a father. He is very clear about what the meaning of being strong is, and often reminds Tianming that chivalrous heroes do not fight others to prove themselves, but they help those who are small and frail.

About the Character:
A very solid, righteous and protective character. He knows his goals and sacrificing for his loved ones. He has always been known as the Leader of the Mohist School, with extremely powerful martial arts, he was able to defeat Wei Zhuang. However, he was cursed by Da Siming of the Yin and Yang School and therefore caused his death. He was also revealed to be Prince Dan, who plotted the assassination for Ying Zheng with Jing Ke. He really believes in Tianming and knows that Tianming has what it takes to be a hero that helps thousands of people.
Historical Figure -
Crown Prince Dan of Yan was a crown prince of the state of Yan during the Warring States Period in China. Originally a hostage in the State of Qin, he was sent back to Yan in 232 BC. He sent Jing Ke to assassinate Qin Shi Huang, then Emperor of China, but he failed. King Xi of Yan, Dan's father and the last king of Yan, ordered the execution of Dan to please the Qin after Ji, the capital of Yan, had fallen[citation needed]. Invasion of Qin did halt for few years, during which time the states of Wei and Chu were conquered. Meanwhile the King Xi of Yan moved to the Liaodong Commandery.
The state of Yan was conquered in 222 BC and King Xi was captured.
Gao Jianli

Historical Figure -
Gao Jianli was a citizen of Yan, a Chinese state during the Warring States Period, and a player of the zhu (a stringed musical instrument played with a thin stick). After Jing Ke was killed in his assassination attempt on Qin Shi Huang, Gao changed his name and became an assistant in a wine shop as Qin Shi Huang retaliated against all friends of Jing Ke . As the work is very hard, Gao would usually pace around the house of the owner of the wine shop listening to the guests playing the zhu in the owner's house. He would commend about the playing until one day when someone told the owner what Gao said about his guests' skills in playing the zhu.
So the owner asked Gao to play for him and his skillful play won him the heart of the owner. Qin Shi Huang heard about the event and decided to summon Gao to play for him. Someone recognised Gao and told Qin Shi Huang about his real identity. Qin Shi Huang loved music very much and decided to pardon Gao but not before making him blind.
The skill of Gao won him praises from Qin Shi Huang and after a few performances the emperor lost his guarding of Gao, who began to move nearer and nearer to him. Gao sensed the movement and secretly hid lead pieces in the instrument, when the emperor is within striking distance, Gao took a strike but missed. Gao was subsequently executed and Qin Shi Huang stopped being close to people from the other states.

About the Character: She's mysterious, nice and caring, calm during fights and loves Xiaogao. She also has a very mischievous personality towards people she knows well, such as being very playful towards Tianming. She used to be a dancer.
Da Tiechui

About the Character: A soilder from the Kingdom of Yan, he is very aware of what it means to be a man of the Yan Kingdom. He will never give up in fights and would do anything to protect his brothers. He can also be impatient, especially with Tianming.
Dao Zhi

About the Character: Dao Zhi was a thief who stole everything in the world. He has superb light body skills and going anywhere he wishes. Not a lot of things would be safe if he took a fancy on them. He has a very laid back personality and loves to joke around.
Duanmu Rong
Also Known As: Sister Rong
Voiced by: Limin Yan
About the Character: A very intelligent and skilled doctor. She is from the Kingdom of Yan and took Gao Yue under her care. Duanmu Rong's face is always in a stoical look, which has been described by Tianming as 'stiff as a box'. She formerly refused to treat patients, who satisfied one or more of her three conditions, on who not to treat. Her personality gradually evolves into a more soft-hearted person, and she treats Yue-Er, like a little sister.
Master Ban

About the Character: Master Ban is one of the main protagonists in the series Qin's Moon. His hardworking attitude often clashes with Tianming's easy-going and lazy attitude and often situations between them turn into hilarious outbursts of shouts and force. His knowledge of machinery often pays out in the end, whether it be for entertainment purposes or for rescuing people. Though possessing no combat abilities, his knowledge of mechanics is astounding. He has the ability to build large wooden birds that are capable of flight. He is also a very good carpenter.

Historical Figure -
Qin Shi Huang (259 BC – 210 BC), personal name Ying Zheng, was king of the Chinese State of Qin from 246 BC to 221 BC during the Warring States Period. He became the first emperor of a unified China in 221 BC.[3] He ruled until his death in 210 BC at the age of 49.
Calling himself the First Emperor after China's unification, Qin Shi Huang is a pivotal figure in Chinese history, ushering nearly two millennia of imperial rule. After unifying China, he and his chief advisor Li Si passed a series of major economic and political reforms.[3] He undertook gigantic projects, including the first version of the Great Wall of China, the now famous city-sized mausoleum guarded by a life-sized Terracotta Army, and a massive national road system, all at the expense of numerous lives. To ensure stability, Qin Shi Huang outlawed and burned many books, as well as buried some scholars alive.

Meng Tian (died 210 BCE) was a general of the Qin Dynasty who distinguished himself in campaigns against the Xiongnu and in the construction of the Great Wall of China. He was the elder brother of Meng Yi. He descended from a great line of military generals and architects. His father Meng Wu was also a Qin general who fought under Wang Jian.

Li Si (ca. 280 BC – September or October 208 BC) was the influential Prime Minister (or Chancellor) of the feudal state and later of the dynasty of Qin, between 246 BC and 208 BC. A famous Legalist, he was also a notable calligrapher. Li Si served under two rulers: Qin Shi Huang, king of Qin and later First Emperor of China—and his son, Qin Er Shi.[1] A powerful minister, he was central to the state's policies, including those on military conquest, draconian centralization of state control, standardization of weights, measures and the written script, and persecution of Confucianism and opponents of Legalism. His methods of administration of China is seen by some as being an early form of totalitarianism.

Zhang Liang (262 BC – 189 BC), courtesy name Zifang, was a strategist and statesman of the early Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. He is also known as one of the "Three Heroes of the early Han Dynasty", along with Han Xin and Xiao He. Zhang contributed greatly to the founding of the Han Dynasty and was conferred the title of "Marquis Wencheng of Liu" by Emperor Gaozu of Han in recognition of his efforts.

About the Character: A former student of the Ghost Valley Sect, and studied alongside Ge Nie. They are both rivals and his swordsmanship is equal in skill to Ge Nie's. The Qin Emperor's Advisor has hired him to hunt down Tianming and his friends. He is a cold, emotionless being, demanding respect from others. He looks down on people asking for help, unless he has something to gain from it. He is often shown with a female assistant at his side. In addition, his underlings are many.
White Phoenix

About the Character: Not silent, but not very spoken. He wears all white and has blue eyes, he usually rides on a enourmous white bird. He is 3rd to show on screen to be one of the characters that support and serve Wei Zhuang. His speed is formidable.
Crimson Snake

About the Character: The right-hand lady to Wei Zhuang. Usually she is with Wei Zhuang, and seemingly one of his most trusted people. She uses a whip as a weapon and she can freely control snakes. Her hypnosis skill is what caused Gao Yue to have a misunderstanding that Ge Nie killed her father.
Black Unicorn
Also Known As: Lin-er
About the Character: Known as Korea's number one assassin, he does not have any shape or form, but can turn into any person or living being he wants. He is always in the shadow, working for Wei Zhuang. Little is known about his background yet.
Hidden Bat
About the Character: The 2nd character to show on screen to serve Wei Zhuang. He practiced a secret technique where he has to drink human blood. Very agile but seemingly not as quick or strong as White Phoenix.

A very mysterious character with little background known. She seems to be on the evil side and put a curse on the Leader of the Mohist School. It's expected that her past will be revealed. She is one of the top experts of the Yin and Yang School.
